Start organizing your digital cross stitch patterns

Ten ideas and goodie recommendations to start organizing your digital and wonky sized cross stitch patterns:

1. Three ring binders. I recommend one inch binders. If they are filled with paper, it's a manageable size to carry and to store your patterns. Of course, binders come in all shapes and sizes. I recommend the binders that hold A4 sized paper (8.5 inch by 11 inch paper).

2. Pencil Pouches. These come in all shapes and sizes to fit inside a three ring binder. Many are made with clear vinyl so you can see inside for quick referencing. Some are super duper cute and look like miniature handmade project bags with grommets on the side.

3. Clear Plastic page protectors for a three ring binder. These help to keep your patterns secure and you don't have to make holes in the actual paper patterns. I found some here

4. Project Bags. Oh my goodness, what a beautiful assortment of colorful fabrics and styles available from many fellow Flosstube creators and Etsy sellers.

5. Ziplock Bags. I like the one gallon size to hold patterns, floss, fabric and embellishments. These are very affordable and the easiest to find.

6. Clear Poly Bags for packaging your printed patterns. These are great supplies for pattern designers to seal up their patterns and market their patterns to distributers, online stores, and local needlework shops. Here is one seller that offers clear poly bags in a variety of sizes. I have purchased from this store before. Here is their eBay store

7. Binder Rings are a fun way to organize your fancy floss on thread drops using colorful one inch metal binder rings. You can put different thread collections on different colored rings. You can find some different colored rings here.

8. Magazine Holder to help store your cross-stitch magazines within 3 ring binders for easier organizing. These lil' plastic contraptions are the cat's pajamas and I love them. They can be found here

9. I just released my Halloween Pup Notebook. It's 6 x 9 inches and is another great idea for a simple notebook to write down your Stitching Wishlist and a running list of your current pattern collection. The pup notebook can be found here

10. Finally, a fun little reminder that I love stationary and I have designed some of my own in order to help chart patterns and also to keep track of Flosstube notes. You can find them here.

This is just a starting list for organizing your cross-stitch stash.
